Custom Website vs. Hosted Platforms
How custom development compares with platforms such as Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace.
Swipe horizontally or focus the table and use arrow keys to compare every column.
Custom development avoids a required website-builder subscription, but it is not cost-free. Hosting, domains, payment processors, APIs, apps, licenses, and other third-party services may still have their own charges. The right choice depends on the business, operating model, and required functionality.
Not Sure What’s Right? Message UsWant to promote the business after launch? Add managed Advertising.
Google Ads Management is a $499 USD/month management fee. Facebook + Instagram Ads Management is a $499 USD/month management fee. Ad spend is separate and paid by the client.
You know what access and materials are included.
After the project is complete and all agreed invoices are paid, we provide the files, access, and materials listed in the written project scope. This may include website source files, CMS access, hosting access where applicable, analytics and Search Console access, advertising-account access when configured, and a list of third-party services. Website Care is optional. Cancelling Website Care does not by itself remove the website or ownership of the agreed deliverables. The client remains responsible for compatible hosting and any third-party subscriptions or licenses. Third-party assets remain subject to their providers’ terms.
